The only Arnold Palmer signature design in the San Diego area, Aviara Golf Club is a 7,000-yard, par-72 course that overlooks Batiquitos Lagoon ecological reserve, located just a few hundred yards from the Pacific Ocean.

Lead architect Harrison Minchew routed the course up and down hills around seven water features to create an interesting layout complemented by landscaping that features more than 100 varieties of native flora. The course, perennially ranked as one of the top resort courses in America, is also home to the LPGA’s Kia Classic. The course winds through hillsides and features long views, particularly from elevated tees like the downhill seventh and eighth holes on the front side, not to mention the beautiful par-3 14th hole on the back. The club is also home to the acclaimed Aviara Golf Academy, where several tour pros train. Practice facilities, which include a range and short-game practice area, are top notch.
